| Compare the Features | |
To choose the best Classic trailer for your needs, start by deciding which model you like, and then choose from the options available for that model. All Classic trailers are good, it all depends on the features you want your trailer to have when choosing one model over another. How many bikes will you be hauling?
How much gear will you be taking along?
Our advice is to lay out an area in your garage or driveway with chalk or tape that matches the interior trailer width and length you plan on purchasing. The 6' wide trailers have approximately 68" inside width, 7' wide trailers have 80" inside width, and 8' wide trailers have approximately 90" interior width. Now place your bike(s) and gear inside the rectangle you've laid out. You might want to stagger the bikes to fit inside a smaller width. Remember to compensate for the tie down straps. Depending on which trailer length you choose, your tongue weight will vary dramatically depending on how far up front you plan on putting the bike(s) and gear.
